About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support new client admissions and Start of Care visits
Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene
Prepare meals and assist with daily living activities
Perform housekeeping and household support
Assist with errands and transportation when appropriate
Monitor and report changes in client condition
Maintain accurate documentation and visit records
Provide coverage for open shifts, call-offs, and urgent staffing needs
Travel throughout the assigned service area to support clients
Promote Elara Caring's mission and commitment to quality care

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or GED, where required by state regulations
Minimum six (6) months of experience caring for elderly or disabled individuals
Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide, Homemaker, CNA, MA, or similar certification where required
Basic technology skills and comfort using mobile devices, apps, and electronic documentation systems
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused approach
Ability to work independently and adapt to changing assignments
Reliable personal transportation, current registration, and auto insurance
Ability to travel throughout the assigned service area
Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and perform physical caregiving duties
