About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for the successful clinical launch of new hospice locations.
Provide comprehensive oversight of all clinical components during the start-up phase.
Ensure operational readiness and regulatory compliance of the site.
Lead recruitment, training, and development of permanent clinical staff.
Ensure seamless handover through structured transition planning and mentoring.
Redeploy to the next assigned DeNovo location, supporting growth and quality standards.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate degree in Nursing, BSN preferred.
Minimum of three (5) years relevant experience as a registered nurse in a Hospice environment along with serving in a leadership role.
Proven ability to lead clinical teams, manage start-up environments, and train/develop clinical leaders.
Active RN License in good standing (multi-state compact license strongly preferred).
Certification in hospice and palliative care (CHPN) preferred but not required.
Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
Deep understanding of hospice regulations, eligibility criteria and interdisciplinary care.
Highly organized, adaptable and results-oriented.
Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation systems.
Exceptional communication and team-building skills.
Must be able to travel up to 90% of the time, with flexible scheduling based upon market needs.
