About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Development and implementation of account strategies for Elanco’s key customers in the DACH region
- Establishment and maintenance of long-term relationships with relevant decision-makers
- Responsibility for complex contract, pricing and terms negotiations
- Management of customer agreements, investments and value-added services
- Responsibility for revenue, market share, profitability and customer satisfaction within the managed portfolio
- Leadership, coaching and development of the Key Account Management team
- Close collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Technical Consulting and international Global Account teams
- Identification of new business opportunities based on market, competitor and customer analyses
- Development and continuous improvement of processes, tools and best practices in Strategic Account Management
- Representation of Elanco at customer meetings, industry events and international meetings
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed bachelor’s or master’s degree, for example in veterinary medicine, agricultural sciences, pharmacy, business administration or a comparable discipline
- At least seven years of experience in Strategic or Key Account Management or in a senior commercial role
- Proven experience in managing strategically important customers and leading complex commercial negotiations
- Experience in direct or functional leadership of employees
- Strong communication, relationship management and negotiation skills
- Fluent German and English skills
- Willingness to travel regularly within the DACH region
