Engineer

• - Provide comprehensive engineering support to the development and delivery management teams for the successful realisation of project assets.
• - Work with the Eku procurement team to develop and consistently implement project design and equipment standards that support project cost, quality, and performance objectives in Japan.
• - Collaborate with the development team and external development partners to assess the feasibility of new battery energy storage project opportunities and sites via both desktop and on-site assessments.
• - Preparation, assessment, and optimisation of project designs for project-specific applications including site layouts, system sizing, and equipment selection. This will involve a combination of direct engineering contributions as well as managing external engineering vendors.
• - Support the preparation and management of grid connection applications.
• - Prepare technical scopes of work for construction contracts and other development activities such as geotechnical testing/site surveys.
• - Interface with the Owner’s Engineer and construction contractor’s design teams to support project design and construction activities, ensuring that design processes are effectively managed in accordance with contractual requirements.
• - Coordination of design review, risk assessments, quality assurance and acceptance during construction.
• - Manage the technical delivery of projects in the construction phase ensuring projects are executed in accordance with best industry practice and achieve their stated goals (design, WHSE, budget, programme, quality).
• - Lead the coordination of SCADA and communications interfaces between BESS, balance of plant, TSO, trading and optimisation platforms.
• - Undertake regular site visits and report on project status, key issues and risks.
• - Support handover of the project from development to construction and from construction to operations.
• - Participate as an active member of a global team. Share with and learn from colleagues with similar responsibilities around the world to incorporate lessons learned and continuously improve technical practices within Eku
• - Uphold the highest standards of safety practices in the office and on site and ensuring the same HSEQ standards are practiced by the contractors and partners who work with us.
