About the role
- Analyse large data sets using statistical techniques to uncover key insights
- Support the team in building marketing mix models (MMM), testing frameworks, forecasting tools, and customer segmentation
- Use Python to process and clean data, write scripts and build ML or econometric models
- Opportunity to work with tools like Power BI, Databricks, Git, Jira, Pandas, PySpark, VS Code
- Gain experience translating complex data outputs into recommendations for clients
- Attend internal and client meetings to understand real business challenges
- Collaborate across teams to build deliverables, present findings and influence decisions
- Undertake an individual R&D project based on your interests and present your findings to the Eki leadership team
- Attend team events, internal training, knowledge sharing and social activities
- Contribute to a fun, curious, and collaborative team culture
Requirements
- Studying a quantitative degree (e.g. Economics, Maths, Engineering, Computer/Data Science, Statistics, etc.)
- Strong interest in analytics, modelling, marketing strategy and customer analytics
- Proficient in Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, TEXT, IF, SUMIFS, pivot tables) for data cleaning, validation, and structuring (this will be needed for the interview process)
- Some experience in Python, R or similar (academic, project or self-taught)
- Solid foundation in statistics, econometrics and data manipulation
- Consulting & Soft Skills:
- Curious, detail-oriented and comfortable working with ambiguity
- Excellent communication – both written and verbal
- Highly collaborative, self-motivated and organised
- A strong interest in working at the intersection of data and business
- Must-Haves:
- Available to work 5 days a week from June/July 2026 to Dec 2026
- Full right to work in the UK for the duration of the placement. We cannot sponsor this role.
- Enthusiastic about gaining experience in a hybrid data science/consulting role
