About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support partners in understanding and interpreting Horizon Europe rules
- Contribute to EIT Urban Mobility audit processes, including EIT Certificates on the Financial Statements, internal checks, and statutory audits
- Ensure correct cost allocation for each transaction in coordination with Accounting and Controlling
- Support internal teams and sub-grantees during amendments to Financial Support Agreements
- Contribute to continuous improvement of NetSuite with the IT team
- Participate in preparing the budget implementation, financing decisions, annual Business Plan, and budget planning, monitoring, and reporting
- Support budget management in compliance with applicable financial regulations
- Support preparation of the annual financial report and annual grant amendment
- Process and follow up grant and sub-grant payments, acting as Finance Team backup when required
- Support audits and internal reviews by preparing documentation, reconciliations, and follow-up actions
- Report directly to the Head of Finance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in an audit firm
- At least 3 years of experience auditing EU-funded projects
- Experience working with organisations with complex governance structures, multiple legal entities, diverse stakeholders, and European networks
- Experience in financial management and monitoring of EU-funded projects
- Professional proficiency in written and spoken English, minimum C1 level
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present financial information clearly to varied audiences
- Strong collaboration skills and team-oriented approach
- Hands-on, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset
- Must be a national of an EU Member State or have a working permit valid to work in Spain
- Must enjoy full rights as a citizen
