About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support partners in understanding and interpreting Horizon Europe rules
Contribute to EIT Urban Mobility audit processes, including EIT Certificates on the Financial Statements, internal checks, and statutory audits
Ensure correct cost allocation for each transaction in coordination with Accounting and Controlling
Support internal teams and sub-grantees during amendments to Financial Support Agreements
Contribute to continuous improvement of NetSuite with the IT team
Participate in preparing the budget implementation, financing decisions, annual Business Plan, and budget planning, monitoring, and reporting
Support budget management in compliance with applicable financial regulations
Support preparation of the annual financial report and annual grant amendment
Process and follow up grant and sub-grant payments, acting as Finance Team backup when required
Support audits and internal reviews by preparing documentation, reconciliations, and follow-up actions
Report directly to the Head of Finance

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in an audit firm
At least 3 years of experience auditing EU-funded projects
Experience working with organisations with complex governance structures, multiple legal entities, diverse stakeholders, and European networks
Experience in financial management and monitoring of EU-funded projects
Professional proficiency in written and spoken English, minimum C1 level
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to present financial information clearly to varied audiences
Strong collaboration skills and team-oriented approach
Hands-on, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset
Must be a national of an EU Member State or have a working permit valid to work in Spain
Must enjoy full rights as a citizen
