About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and produce control system design drawings and documentation using Revit and AutoCAD
Support the design of building automation and control systems for HVAC and related systems under the guidance of senior engineers
Assist with layout, schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel designs for control systems
Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and other disciplines to ensure integrated and consistent design delivery
Contribute to low-voltage system design efforts, including controls, fire alarm, and related systems as needed
Update and maintain project documentation, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project standards
Support design reviews by incorporating feedback and making necessary revisions
Assist with the preparation of submittals, as-built drawings, and commissioning documentation
Follow internal QA/QC processes and applicable industry standards and codes

Requirements

What you’ll need

A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field, is preferred (or equivalent practical experience)
3-6+ years of experience in controls design, building systems, or low-voltage systems
Proficiency in Revit is strongly preferred; experience with AutoCAD required
Basic understanding of BAS/BMS systems, DDC controls, and integration with HVAC systems
Exposure to fire alarm and/or other low-voltage systems (security, communications) is a plus
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and coordination skills
Able to work effectively in a team environment and support multiple projects simultaneously
Good communication skills and ability to follow technical direction.
