About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead electrical engineering design activities on major projects in the United States.
  • Design, model, and simulate electrical systems for hyperscale and AI data centers.
  • Develop electrical systems including power distribution, UPS, standby generators, and security systems.
  • Prepare engineering calculations, schematic designs, and detailed designs.
  • Create technical documentation for project execution, including design criteria and specifications.
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to coordinate BIM models and resolve conflicts.
  • Review shop drawings and ensure compliance with engineering codes and safety standards.
  • Use BIM tools to virtually construct electrical systems and coordinate with other disciplines.
  • Assist in coordinating projects, including on-site supervision.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress.
  • Utilize laser scanning technology to document installation states.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant electrical engineering experience, preferably in the construction industry
  • Experience with data center projects or other large-scale industrial projects is a plus but not required
  • Knowledge of electrical systems including MV/LV power distribution, UPS, generators, redundancy strategies (N+1, 2N), and energy efficiency principles
  • Clear understanding of NEC, IEEE, and international electrical codes relevant to mission-critical facilities
  • Proficiency in BIM software (Autodesk Revit), CAD modeling tools, and other relevant engineering software
  • Experience performing power system studies (short circuit, protective-device coordination, arc-flash analysis) using SKM, Etap, or EasyPower Software
  • Experience performing underground ductbank ampacity/heat (Neher-McGrath) studies
  • Good understanding of electrical systems design, including power distribution, UPS systems, standby generators, and security systems
  • Familiarity with electrical codes and safety standards
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
