ICT Design Engineer, Information and Communications Technology
Ehvert Mission Critical. Designing and coordinating ICT and low-voltage systems including structured cabling, telecommunications, access control, video surveillance (CCTV), and security systems.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Designing and coordinating ICT and low-voltage systems including structured cabling, telecommunications, access control, video surveillance (CCTV), and security systems.
- Using BIM tools to model and coordinate ICT systems with other engineering disciplines using tools such as Autodesk Revit – is a must.
- Developing a thorough understanding and delivery of the project requirements as they relate to scope, cost and schedule.
- Determining and expediting the engineering deliverables for projects.
- Developing and maintaining project scope of work documentation and revisions during design development.
- Preparing engineering calculations, system layouts, and technical documentation for ICT infrastructure.
- Preparing technical documentation required for project execution including design criteria, technical specifications, and equipment data sheets.
- Reviewing shop drawings and contractor submittals.
- Producing models and drawings using BIM and CAD modeling tools.
- Supporting coordination with multidisciplinary engineering teams during project development and execution.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, telecommunications, IT, or a related field.
- Proven expertise as an ICT / telecommunications / low-voltage systems engineer.
- Written and spoken English B1 and higher.
- Experience in ICT design including structured cabling systems, telecommunications infrastructure, and security systems.
- Experience designing low-voltage systems for industrial, commercial, or mission-critical facilities.
- Experience using BIM modeling tools and design software.
- Hands-on experience using Autodesk Revit – is a must.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering environments.
- Understanding of telecommunications standards and low-voltage system codes.
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize while meeting project deadlines.
- Self-starters that are ambitious and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner.
- Excellent communication skills.
