About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist pediatric dentists chairside during cleanings, exams, sealants, fillings, and other treatments.
- Help create a positive and calming environment for children and their families.
- Prepare and disinfect treatment rooms and organize kid-friendly materials and instruments.
- Provide patient education on brushing, flossing, and oral hygiene habits tailored to young patients.
- Take and process pediatric dental X-rays with care and precision.
- Manage instruments and sterilization according to safety protocols.
- Support smooth patient flow by working closely with the front desk and other clinical team members.
- Comfort and guide children through their visit with patience and a friendly attitude.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience working with children is a major plus — whether in a dental setting, school, or childcare.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the pediatric dental field.
- Excellent communication skills and a warm, upbeat personality.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy clinical environment.
- Radiology certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Familiarity with Dentrix Ascend or other dental software is a plus!
