About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform industry-leading pest management services for residential customers
Inspect client properties for signs of pest infestations, damage, and entry points
Determine the type of pest infestation
Apply approved pest control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps
Educate customers on pest prevention and maintaining pest-free environments
Advise customers on reducing the risk of future infestations
Build customer relationships and schedule and confirm appointments
Assist with sales to current customers and expand products to new customers
Maintain, stock, and ensure the proper working condition of pest control equipment
Follow local, state, and federal pest control product and safety regulations
Drive and safely operate a company-provided service vehicle
Work in residential properties, both indoors and outdoors, including confined spaces and hazardous conditions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Clean shaven face for respirator safety
High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid driver’s license from state of residence
Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations; covered by the employer
Availability Monday-Friday and weekends as needed
Willingness to learn all areas of pest control
Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
Basic math skills for following product-label mixing instructions
Customer-facing experience preferred
Ability to work in tight, confined spaces
Ability to work around animals, insects, termites, mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals
Ability to work inside and outside in the local climate
Ability to regularly sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including an OSHA-compliant respirator
