About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform industry-leading pest management services for residential customers
- Inspect client properties for signs of pest infestations, damage, and entry points
- Determine the type of pest infestation
- Apply approved pest control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps
- Educate customers on pest prevention and maintaining pest-free environments
- Advise customers on reducing the risk of future infestations
- Build customer relationships and schedule and confirm appointments
- Assist with sales to current customers and expand products to new customers
- Maintain, stock, and ensure the proper working condition of pest control equipment
- Follow local, state, and federal pest control product and safety regulations
- Drive and safely operate a company-provided service vehicle
- Work in residential properties, both indoors and outdoors, including confined spaces and hazardous conditions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Clean shaven face for respirator safety
- High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid driver’s license from state of residence
- Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations; covered by the employer
- Availability Monday-Friday and weekends as needed
- Willingness to learn all areas of pest control
- Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
- Basic math skills for following product-label mixing instructions
- Customer-facing experience preferred
- Ability to work in tight, confined spaces
- Ability to work around animals, insects, termites, mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals
- Ability to work inside and outside in the local climate
- Ability to regularly sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including an OSHA-compliant respirator
