Licensing Administrator – Seasonal
eHealth, Inc.Licensing Administrator managing the licensing process and ensuring regulatory compliance for Benefit Advisors. Involved in onboarding, documentation, and process improvement efforts.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and execute end-to-end licensing and/or carrier appointment processes for an assigned group of Benefit Advisors or carrier partners
- Support the state licensing process, including screening candidates for eligibility, preparing onboarding documentation, and coordinating exam preparation and scheduling
- Submit and track insurance license applications across all states, maintaining communication with Departments of Insurance to ensure timely approvals
- Coordinate fingerprinting requirements and ensure all regulatory steps are completed accurately and efficiently
- Monitor and maintain license renewals and continuing education requirements to ensure ongoing compliance across all systems
- Oversee carrier appointment processes, including preparing high-volume reports, tracking appointment status, and resolving delays through analysis and escalation
- Partner with Sales, Training, and Licensing Operations teams to ensure advisors complete all onboarding and certification requirements
- Maintain accurate advisor status records across systems to mitigate compliance risk and ensure agents are authorized to sell only where permitted
- Conduct gap analyses and identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system enhancements and automation related to licensing and onboarding processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong experience with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, and are comfortable working with large datasets
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and administrative skills
- Adaptable and able to pivot quickly in a changing, fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Understand the importance of compliance and can handle sensitive information with discretion
- Team player who contributes to achieving shared goals and improving team processes
- Experience with insurance licensing processes and regulatory requirements
