About the role
- Conduct thorough testing of carrier online applications, rates and benefits, and eHealth systems including functional, regression, and performance testing
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and specifications
- Identify, document, and track defects and issues using bug tracking tools
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and provide feedback on potential issues and improvements
- Perform root cause analysis of defects and work with the development team to resolve them
- Ensure that all testing activities are completed on time and meet the quality standards set by the team
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing efforts
- Utilize the benefit regression automation tools to verify benefit data on QA platforms to ensure it is successfully pushed to production
- Follow the testing flow for online applications, ensure accurate PDF mapping and document control throughout the testing process
- Handle daily operational testing work while also helping develop, support and implement future automation and data loading strategies
- Participate in meetings with carriers, stakeholders and offshore colleagues
- Innovate with AI & Automation and explore opportunities to apply AI-driven product development, LLM-based solutions, and agentic automation to streamline workflows
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience
- 2+ years of experience as either a QA engineer or Tester in Test role
- Proven experience as an application tester or in a similar testing role
- Strong attention to detail and ability to validate data based on specific requirements
- Understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes
- Experience with testing content on platforms, including use of automated testing tools and frameworks
- Background in Medicare, healthcare and content data management
- Comprehensive understanding of data relationships and dependencies; ability to implement and manage system configurations
- Willingness to participate in meetings with carriers, stakeholders and colleagues in offshore time zones
- Experience in the healthcare or insurance industry (preferred)
- Proven experience as data tester or in a similar testing role
- Experience with SQL, ORACLE, DataQuery, XML, Web services and API (preferred)
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks
- Experience with bug tracking tools such as JIRA or similar
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience and willingness to work with offshore teams including time shifting to account for different time zones
- Nice to have: Experience in AI-driven product development, knowledge of LLM, and building agentic automation solutions
