About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead, mentor, and grow a team of custom development and AI consultants as a player-coach
Contribute directly to key customer projects
Own delivery and quality for the Custom Development and AI technical practices
Oversee bespoke integrations, scripting, and solutions built on Egnyte’s APIs, Python, and React
Guide customers on MCP server integrations, agentic AI architecture, and custom prompt design
Engage customers during pre-sales architecture reviews and throughout the engagement lifecycle
Understand customer requirements and shape solution designs
Stay current with foundation models, agentic frameworks, and emerging MCP standards
Translate AI developments into actionable guidance for customers and the team
Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to identify expansion opportunities and ensure customer value realization
Establish and document best practices, delivery frameworks, and reusable solution patterns
Assess and advise customers on architecture patterns complementing Egnyte’s platform
Track team performance and manage resource planning
Ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard of quality

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of overall experience
At least 5 years in a customer-facing Technology Consulting or Professional Services role
3+ years of hands-on experience with state-of-the-art AI technologies
Experience with large language models, agentic AI frameworks, and prompt engineering methodologies
Expertise with MCP (Model Context Protocol) integrations and agentic AI architectures
Ability to advise customers and build working MCP and agentic AI solutions
Proficiency in Python and React
Experience leveraging REST APIs for custom integrations, automation scripts, and lightweight front-end solutions
Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Proven people management experience, including hiring, developing, and retaining technical teams
Strong understanding of data privacy, security, and governance for AI and custom development solutions
Experience engaging large enterprise, mid-market, and SMB accounts
Excellent communication skills for translating technical concepts to business stakeholders
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
