About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a communication resource between clients, unions, company offices, and shareholder groups
  • Identify methods of reducing risk cost for clients through analysis and evaluation of conditions and practices
  • Measure and evaluate program effectiveness
  • Coordinate client programs and services with company programs and standards of service
  • Analyze loss report information and make recommendations for improvements
  • Evaluate conditions and practices and recommend procedural improvements
  • Identify trends and recommend methods for reducing risk cost for clients
  • Accompany client representatives to client sites to direct or train client management staff
  • Identify opportunities to optimize the billing workflow
  • Generate and issue invoices to clients promptly
  • Verify invoice accuracy, including prices, quantities, and verbiage
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Support the organization's quality program(s)

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
  • Four (4) years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Two (2) years of workers' compensation claim experience required
  • Risk control experience preferred
  • Knowledge of claims management processes and procedures
  • Knowledge of risk control in an insurance industry
  • Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills
  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
  • Analytical and interpretive skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Good judgment and discretion skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and set priorities
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
