Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university
Professional Engineer (PE) license required for the resident state
Expertise in commercial, residential, and industrial mechanical system failure analysis
Proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, piping, boilers, chillers, water intrusion, and industrial machinery
Ability to work in a variety of environments
Ability to travel locally or regionally
Preferably reside within 150 miles of Charlotte, NC
Multi-state licensing and/or active NCEES Record preferred
Forensic engineering experience preferred
Expert witness testimony experience is a plus
Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods
Ability to kneel, squat, bend, climb, crawl, stoop, reach, and work overhead
Ability to work outdoors in hot and cold weather
Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
Ability to push/pull up to 100 pounds
Ability to drive up to 4 hours per day
Clear and conceptual thinking ability, excellent judgment and discretion
Ability to handle work-related stress, multiple priorities, and deadlines
