About the role

Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required for the resident state
- Expertise in commercial, residential, and industrial mechanical system failure analysis
- Proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, piping, boilers, chillers, water intrusion, and industrial machinery
- Ability to work in a variety of environments
- Ability to travel locally or regionally
- Preferably reside within 150 miles of Charlotte, NC
- Multi-state licensing and/or active NCEES Record preferred
- Forensic engineering experience preferred
- Expert witness testimony experience is a plus
- Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods
- Ability to kneel, squat, bend, climb, crawl, stoop, reach, and work overhead
- Ability to work outdoors in hot and cold weather
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to push/pull up to 100 pounds
- Ability to drive up to 4 hours per day
- Clear and conceptual thinking ability, excellent judgment and discretion
- Ability to handle work-related stress, multiple priorities, and deadlines
