About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct microbial, lead, asbestos, and industrial hygiene inspections and sampling
- Process and dispose of samples and evidence according to ASTM and industry standards
- Prepare chain of custody forms and record survey data
- Document billable hours and expenses for external client services
- Gather detailed notes, photographs, temperature, relative humidity, and moisture measurements
- Promote and market investigative services to the insurance industry within the assigned territory
- Partner with Senior Environmental Field Technicians on complex cases
- Prepare inspection reports based on scientific findings and project scope
- Follow accepted industry methodologies for service delivery
- Maintain positive relationships with clients, colleagues, subcontractors, and prospects
- Assist with and observe contractor work and interact with clients and contractor or subcontractor representatives
- Perform other assigned duties and support organizational quality programs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate degree in Environmental Science, Microbiology, Industrial Hygiene, or related science preferred
- High school diploma and two years of experience, or equivalent combination of experience and education, required
- Current professional certifications and licensure for the respective state
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving history
- Current CMC, CIE, CRMI, or equivalent preferred
- Current AHERA Inspector license, EPA Inspector license, EPA Asbestos Abatement certification, or OSHA HAZWOPER training preferred
- Knowledge of current EHS industry standards, regulations, techniques, and equipment
- Excellent oral and written communication
- PC literacy, including Microsoft Office products
- Good organizational, interpersonal, analytical, interpretive, problem-solving, and project-prioritization skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently or in a team environment
- Ability to meet or exceed performance competencies
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods; kneel, squat, bend, crawl, stoop, reach, and work overhead
- Ability to work outdoors in hot and cold weather
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds
- Ability to drive up to four hours per day
