About the role

  • Effectual DevOps Engineers are members of the Professional Services (PS) team responsible for ensuring that customer-facing projects are delivered with exceptional customer satisfaction and technical excellence. Effectual DevOps Engineers are "Brand Ambassadors" and are expected to stay current on leading practices to deliver high-quality, well-conceived solutions to customers.

  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Enabling customers' use of AWS to achieve their business objectives through: Kubernetes ecosystem; Kubernetes ecosystem, Istio, Linkerd, Consul, etc.; Design, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot large microservices estates in production on Kubernetes; Service mesh deployment and integration; Using Helm Charts, CRDs; Creating cloud-native CI/CD workflows for containers with Jenkins, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline, Gitlab, etc.; Hands-on experience with microservices and distributed architecture; Extensive experience in a scripting language (Bash, Python, JavaScript, etc.); Extending AWS cloud infrastructure; Configuring AWS cloud infrastructure for efficiency; Creating infrastructure as code; Assisting in migration of customers from on-premises to AWS; etc.

Requirements

  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities as described in job posting: Enabling customers' use of AWS to achieve their business objectives through Kubernetes ecosystem; Kubernetes ecosystem; service mesh deployment and integration such as ISTIO, Linkerd, Consul; Creating cloud-native CI/CD workflows for containers with tools such as Jenkins, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline, Gitlab, etc.; Hands-on experience with microservices and distributed application architecture in a multi-tier environment (Dev, Test, Prod, etc.); Extensive experience in a scripting language (Bash, Python, JavaScript, etc.); Experience with the full software development lifecycle and delivery using Agile practices; Implementing infrastructure automation and management using Terraform / AWS CloudFormation; Proficiency in Git version control and CI/CD practices; Experience with AWS Cloud security practices; Strong ability to design, deploy and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines; Knowledge of container orchestration with Kubernetes and service mesh; Ability to architect and implement scalable, reliable cloud infrastructure; Ability to work with stakeholders to deliver business outcomes; Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana; Experience with GitOps; Experience with ArgoCD; Knowledge of Istio, Linkerd; Experience with cloud-native tools such as Helm, CRD's; Experience with developing CI/CD pipelines; Experience with Kubernetes security best practices; Experience with Open-Source Cloud Native ecosystem; Familiarity with AWS architecture patterns; Experience with cost optimization and resource tagging; Familiarity with migrating applications to AWS; Familiarity with microservices architectures; Experience with Kubernetes networking and routing; Experience with CI/CD in production; ...
