About the role

  • Serve as the technical reference for AML/CFT, interpreting regulations and applying the Risk-Based Approach (RBA).
  • Lead reviews and improvements of the department's processes and internal documentation.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of transactions and atypical situations, issuing conclusive assessments.
  • Perform investigations and reports to regulatory authorities.
  • Monitor transactional, customer (onboarding/profile) and reputational risks of clients, partners and counterparties.
  • Perform KYC, KYP, KYS and KYE due diligence, including complex and high-risk cases.
  • Act as the focal point with regulators and auditors, preparing responses and supporting technical analyses.
  • Propose and refine AML/CFT monitoring rules.
  • Contribute to governance forums, KPIs and executive reporting.
  • Promote an AML/CFT culture and support internal training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Previous experience in a financial institution, payment institution or bank.
  • Solid experience in AML/CFT activities.
  • Knowledge of the AML/CFT legal and regulatory framework (e.g., BCB Circular 3.978/20; BCB Circular Letter 4.001/20; and Law 9.613/98).
  • Knowledge of money laundering and terrorist financing typologies in the payments market, financial products and payment accounts.
  • Experience interacting with regulatory bodies and auditors.
  • Knowledge of process and control automation.
  • AML/CFT certification.
  • Familiarity with Advice tools.
