About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform independent pre‑closing flood compliance reviews for commercial, residential, and consumer real estate secured loans

  • Confirm sufficient flood insurance coverage before settlement
  • Respond to departmental inquiries regarding flood regulations and compliance expectations
  • Support regulatory examinations, audits, and ongoing monitoring activities
  • Maintain proficiency with Loan Origination Systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Update bank and department procedures for regulatory or operational changes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent experience in Business, Finance, or Accounting (Preferred)
  • 4 or more years banking experience (Required)
  • 3 or more years lending, compliance, insurance, or real estate experience (Preferred)
  • Strong understanding of federal flood insurance regulations and NFIP requirements (Required)
  • Ability to analyze legal, insurance, and regulatory documents with strong attention to detail (Required)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Required)
  • Ability to independently solve problems and determine when to escalate risk appropriately (Required)
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills (Required)
  • Proficiency with loan origination systems and third‑party flood determination tools (Preferred)
