Key responsibilities & impact

Work with DoD to develop a reliable, secure network
Collaborate with SMEs, customers, vendors, and users for network requirements
Support acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of network components
Resolve interoperability issues across platforms
Design and test new boundary security capabilities
Implement tested security capabilities into production environments
Identify and support security requirements for network systems
Mentor or supervise employees in competencies

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience with network security and IT systems design
3+ years of experience with firewall and enterprise security design
Experience with Palo Alto, Cisco, or Juniper firewalls
Experience with packet analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark)
Experience with monitoring tools and log collectors
Secret clearance
HS diploma or GED
Ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification within 3 months
