About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide engineering review, coordination, and oversight for operations, maintenance, repair, and construction work
- Oversee and coordinate activities with trade shops
- Plan, conduct, and direct projects or major phases of significant projects
- Manage project design or construction efforts
- Ensure timely input of all data, comments, and documentation into the MAXIMO software project management tool
- Provide technical guidance and assistance on contracting and construction issues
- Optimize performance, cost, and schedule by ensuring project objectives are achieved on schedule and at the lowest cost compatible with user requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience as a facilities professional
- 2+ years of experience in an assigned field, including mechanical systems or construction
- Experience with the implementation or execution of design documents
- Experience reviewing design documentation and identifying deficiencies, inaccuracies, and noncompliance issues with the design intent
- Ability to evaluate conditions and draft engineering memos that provide sound engineering guidance consistent with industry best practices and all federal, state, and local codes
- Ability to review and perform engineering calculations
- Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred; Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering a plus
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- LEED Certification
- EIT Certification
- Professional Engineer (PE) License
