About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • As a program and project management specialist, support a project from concept to completion
  • Review contracts and project cost accounting with key stakeholders
  • Conduct tactical planning using resources like Microsoft Project and interact with SMEs, schedulers, customers, and project analysts
  • Ensure the program achieves its goals and meets quality standards through effective communication
  • Influence a meaningful mission while developing and maintaining program strategy
  • Guide the United States Air Force through advanced aerospace testing, infrastructure modernization, and digital transformation within budget

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience developing and delivering hardware-based solutions in a project or program management role
  • Experience using Microsoft Project to build and manage project delivery
  • Experience writing technical proposals
  • Experience managing delivery to a contract
  • Ability to function independently as a self-starter and manage work efficiently
  • Ability to manage project scope, schedule, and budget for all elements of a project
  • Ability to identify, manage, and communicate project risks to senior leadership
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of experience using EVMS to manage project budgets and schedules (Nice If You Have)
  • Experience managing research and development programs in the DoD (Nice If You Have)
  • Experience managing programs to design and deliver integrated hardware and software systems (Nice If You Have)
  • Experience working with suppliers and managing product delivery to a set of requirements (Nice If You Have)
  • Experience using Agile framework and the Sprint or Scrum approach for project management (Nice If You Have)
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD design software (Nice If You Have)
  • Possession of excellent problem resolution and communication skills (Nice If You Have)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred; Master’s degree in Engineering a plus.
