Key responsibilities & impact
  • As an Avionics Obsolescence Engineer, you understand the workings behind complex systems
  • Designing and integrating missile systems
  • Managing the acquisition Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process in support of complex control systems
  • Transforming Mission Systems requirements to improve missile performance
  • Working with existing teams to understand current challenges
  • Collaborating with OEMs to redesign, develop, and integrate upgrades
  • Augmenting designs and algorithms to better system performance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in avionics or obsolescence
  • Knowledge of avionics systems and systems integration challenges
  • Ability to work with a team of engineers to modify designs and improve system integrations to improve warfighter capabilities
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field
  • Experience with modern Navy avionics systems (Nice to have)
  • Experience with the SETR acquisition process (Nice to have)
  • Knowledge of contracting mechanisms and CDRL reporting (Nice to have)
  • Knowledge of system targeting algorithms and test techniques (Nice to have)
  • Ability to analyze avionics designs and provide technical inputs (Nice to have)
  • Top Secret clearance (Nice to have)
  • Master's degree in an Engineering or Science field (Nice to have)
