About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute key network operations including troubleshooting, cybersecurity compliance, and modernization preparation
  • Perform Tier 2 and 3 troubleshooting for network devices
  • Collect and trend baseline network metrics
  • Implement STIG corrections and assist with ACAS and SCAP scanning
  • Execute approved configuration changes and maintain device backups
  • Support cutover readiness and modernization cleanup tasks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4+ years of experience with network engineering
  • Experience using tools such as Wireshark or SolarWinds
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP, IP, DHCP, ARP, HTTP, SNMP, VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, and QoS
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals and DoD security practices
  • Ability to create and interpret technical diagrams and documentation
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • 8140 baseline CompTIA Security+ Certification
