About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Operate a legacy network, ensuring stable operations of key infrastructure services, device configurations, identity services, patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Provide foundational support that strengthens operational readiness and prepares installations for modernization activities.
Ensure daily stability and hygiene of infrastructure services, device images, and access controls.
Administer and maintain L2 or L3 device configurations, images, golden baselines, and network policies.
Support core infrastructure services, including AD, VLAN, TCP, IP, DNS, DHCP, TACACS+, RADIUS, and certificate deployments.
Execute patching, firmware updates, vulnerability mitigation, and configuration compliance.
Monitor network management systems, respond to alerts, perform triage, resolve incidents, and manage ticket queues or SLA execution.
Maintain CMDB accuracy, device inventories, and backup or restore procedures.
Assist with STIG reviews, ACAS remediation, and cybersecurity reporting tasks.
Support SAT execution, network cutovers, and technology transition activities.
Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), runbooks, and shift handoff documentation.

Requirements

What you’ll need

4+ years of experience with administration
Experience with campus switching, WLAN operations, identity or NAC services, and large‑scale enterprise networks
Experience with STIG or ACAS protocols, and basic scripting with PowerShell
Ability to provide onsite support
Secret clearance
HS diploma or GED
DoD 8570 or 8140 CompTIA Security+ Certification
Network Certification such as CCNA Certification
