About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Operate a legacy network, ensuring stable operations of key infrastructure services, device configurations, identity services, patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide foundational support that strengthens operational readiness and prepares installations for modernization activities.
  • Ensure daily stability and hygiene of infrastructure services, device images, and access controls.
  • Administer and maintain L2 or L3 device configurations, images, golden baselines, and network policies.
  • Support core infrastructure services, including AD, VLAN, TCP, IP, DNS, DHCP, TACACS+, RADIUS, and certificate deployments.
  • Execute patching, firmware updates, vulnerability mitigation, and configuration compliance.
  • Monitor network management systems, respond to alerts, perform triage, resolve incidents, and manage ticket queues or SLA execution.
  • Maintain CMDB accuracy, device inventories, and backup or restore procedures.
  • Assist with STIG reviews, ACAS remediation, and cybersecurity reporting tasks.
  • Support SAT execution, network cutovers, and technology transition activities.
  • Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), runbooks, and shift handoff documentation.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4+ years of experience with administration
  • Experience with campus switching, WLAN operations, identity or NAC services, and large‑scale enterprise networks
  • Experience with STIG or ACAS protocols, and basic scripting with PowerShell
  • Ability to provide onsite support
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • DoD 8570 or 8140 CompTIA Security+ Certification
  • Network Certification such as CCNA Certification
