About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • support the operation of HPC workflows that power large-scale aerospace simulation campaigns
  • help configure and submit jobs through HPC schedulers
  • package scientific software into containers
  • troubleshoot job failures and performance issues
  • support researchers who depend on these environments
  • work closely with senior HPC and DevSecOps engineers
  • gain exposure to scheduler configuration, storage systems, parallel computing, and integration of HPC with modern CI/CD workflows

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1+ years of experience working in Linux-based HPC, cluster, or scientific computing environments
  • Experience with scripting in Bash or Python
  • Knowledge of Linux command line operations and Shell scripting
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in CS, Computational Science, Engineering, or Physics
  • Experience with HPC job schedulers such as Slurm, PBS, and LSF
  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker, Singularity, or Apptainer
  • Experience with parallel computing concepts such as MPI and OpenMP
  • Experience with parallel file systems such as Lustre and GPFS
  • Experience with GPU computing, including CUDA and ROCm
  • Experience in scientific software environments
  • Experience with DoD HPC environments such as DREN and DSRC
  • Experience with CI / CD concepts and tools such as GitLab
