About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- support and maintain critical data environments across Mission Partner Environments (MPE)
- deployment, configuration, administration, and optimization of enterprise analytics platforms
- provide customers with insight into their network through monitoring and performance management
- identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in critical network
- assist team in understanding the network by turning metrics into information
- share expertise through leadership and mentoring as team works through challenges
- identify new opportunities to modernize the network to help customers meet needs
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of experience as a Linux Systems Administrator in a security-focused environment
- Experience with Linux operating systems such as RHEL, CentOS, and Ubuntu
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as Nessus, OpenVAS, and remediation processes
- Experience with identity and access management (IAM) concepts
- Experience in scripting or automation using Bash, Python, and Ansible
- Knowledge of system hardening standards such as STIGs and CIS Benchmarks
- Knowledge of log management and SIEM platforms such as Splunk and ELK
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals such as TCP, IP, firewalls, ports, and protocols
- Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED
