About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Write data infrastructure & analytics software tools for Data Science.
  • Mentor and train interns.
  • Guide Data Scientists on best practices in software engineering.
  • Collaborate with analytics leadership and engineers from other parts of EW on architectural and software enhancements to the Data Science platform.
  • Collaborate with Data Science leadership on improving ETL and cluster computing.
  • Supporting the company’s commitment to risk management and protecting the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Education and experience typically obtained through a Bachelor’s degree
  • Typically has 2-4 years of demonstrated progressive work experience in the following areas: Spark, Software/data engineering in Python, Machine Learning toolkits in Python/R, Building reusable frameworks for data ingestion and storage in Hadoop or AWS/S3, Relational databases, optimizing/tuning queries, indexing, partitioning, etc.
  • Experience collaborating with internal engineering & technology teams within a company on building data infrastructure in a regulated, enterprise environment.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Prior demonstrated experience 2-4 years Pyspark and Scala experience
  • Fin-tech experience
