- Unlock insights from complex data to solve mission-critical challenges
- Apply technical expertise and systems thinking to help design analytic capabilities that support national security

- Identify gaps in data availability, infrastructure, or analytic tooling and drive solutions
- Anticipate risks, remove obstacles, and act decisively to close gaps before they impact mission delivery
- Work closely with clients and mission partners to translate operational questions into analytic approaches
- Apply data engineering, analytics, and modeling techniques to generate meaningful insights that improve mission effectiveness
- Deliver mission outcomes by enabling teams to better understand their data and how it can support decision-making
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with data exploration, data analysis, data mining, data visualization, or data science
- 3+ years of experience programming in statistical or general-purpose languages such as Python, R, or languages used for data analysis
- Experience analyzing structured and unstructured data sources, developing analytical approaches to extract meaningful insights, and developing predictive data models, quantitative analyses, or decision-support tools
- Experience working with or designing data lakes, data warehouses, and ETL / ELT pipelines supporting analytics and machine learning workflows
- Experience preparing and transforming data through data ingestion, cleansing, and pipeline development to support scalable analytics
- Experience collaborating with data engineers, system architects, and mission stakeholders to define analytic requirements and develop solutions
- Ability to display ownership mentality, and take responsibility for complex technical challenges from problem definition through delivery
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous or evolving data environments where data, pipelines, and analytic frameworks must be developed simultaneously
