About the role
- Serve as a Bioinformatics Training Specialist supporting the adoption and enhancement of enterprise bioinformatics platforms and analytical tools
- Apply bioinformatics domain knowledge to create clear scientific and public health training materials for bioinformatics platforms and tools
- Assist with product demonstrations, stakeholder briefings, and user engagement activities to support adoption and feedback including user acceptance testing activities
- Partner closely with product managers and engineering teams to ensure bioinformatics platforms are user-centered
- Track requirements and delivery progress using tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience analyzing bioinformatics workflows, data types, and analytical use cases such as genomics, sequencing data, pipelines, or surveillance analytics
- Knowledge of common bioinformatics, life sciences, or public health data platforms or analytical tools
- Ability to write user-facing materials in plain language, including standard operating procedures, job aids, and troubleshooting guides
- Ability to lead product demonstrations to clients and users, lead user and stakeholder discussions, ask the right questions, document clear requirements, and translate them into actionable implementation steps
- Ability to analyze and prioritize user requests for the team
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
- Master’s degree in a Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or Genomics field
