About the role
- Serve as a strategic technical advisor to the US Government
- Oversee the creation and execution of advanced government-funded research programs in microelectronics
- Work with scientists and engineers to shape national security investment
- Provide recommendations on future research programs through analyses and background research
- Interact with the research community to track and evaluate sponsored research progress
- Communicate technical findings to a wide audience
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in microelectronics hardware technologies, including artificial intelligence or quantum computing hardware
- Experience developing materials or processes for artificial intelligence microelectronics
- Experience with technical communication
- Knowledge of how to optimize hardware to execute target software algorithms
- Knowledge of computing architectures that integrate traditional graphics processing units with next generation computing, such as quantum computing
- Knowledge of advanced computing processes or error correction
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree
