About the role

  • Finalize bids and secure projects within the Demolition group
  • Provide overall management direction of contract work from start to finish including scheduling and cost containment
  • Prepare and/or coordinate preparation of full estimates on large complex work
  • Establish project objectives and coordinates pre-construction meetings
  • Manage costs by tracking labor and materials
  • Ensure communication and coordination between project managers, field, and office support
  • Obtain necessary permits and licensing
  • Manage billing and ensure accuracy of invoicing
  • Work with appropriate staff to meet all EEO/DBE project requirements
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with current clients

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; 15+ years of estimating and managing large complex projects experience in related scope of work
  • Good communication skills both oral and written when working with all levels of management, employees, external vendors, and other business associates
  • Must have good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions
  • Must know standard conversions used in the construction industry
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret policies, reports, and legal documents
  • Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from clients, regulatory agencies, and internal safety complaints
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or regulatory agencies
  • Knowledge of Bidding and Project Management software, Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Working knowledge of Viewpoint Vista and HCSS construction software is preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record
