About the role
- Leverage technology to automate and optimize validations, profile data, implement business rules, and visualize results.
- Work with data stewards in all applications/lines of business to address data quality issues.
- Uphold Data Quality Standards to ensure compliance and best business practices across the corporation.
- Provide subject matter expertise between the business and IT to ensure accurate data requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Design, build, and implement validations, controls, point-to-point testing, and source to target mapping for data implementations and projects.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, trace, and identify root causes of quality issues, dissect Stored Procedures, STTM documents, and source data.
- Provide suggestions to architecture, queries, and stored procedure changes where applicable; monitor controls and aid remediation.
- Oversee and review data quality related work of lower-level engineers; act as escalation point and coach peers.
- Support data governance initiatives including profiling of Critical Data Elements (CDEs) and other DG responsibilities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Specialty: IT, Data, Information Systems. (Required)
- Master's Degree or the equivalent experience. Specialty: business, management, IT, Data, Information Systems. (Preferred)
- 5 or more years data quality, validations, controls, testing, source to target mapping, project management.
- 2 or more years SQL Server and SSIS experience.
- 3 or more years banking/line of business experience (Preferred).
- 1 or more years of Python experience (Preferred).
- Data Governance Certification (Dataversity, ICCP, CDMP, or others). (Preferred)
- Technical Acumen (Python, SQL, SAS, and/or other technical tools) (Required).
- Great communication to bridge the gap between the business and IT (Required).
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship for a work visa.
- Ability to be onsite once per month at East Petersburg, PA.
- Ability to work remotely within the Fulton Bank footprint: DC, DE, MD, NJ, PA, VA.
