About the role

  • Develop and execute a fundraising plan that leverages individual and institutional donors to drive greater support from private institutions, philanthropists, individuals, and corporate partnerships.
  • Manage and solicit a portfolio of donor prospects, to secure gifts from high-net-worth donors and to cultivate relationships with corporate/foundation donors.
  • Support and provide leadership to the Development team to maximize organizational investment, ensuring alignment and clear accountability.
  • Set clear fundraising goals and metrics, tracking progress toward annual and long-term targets, including donor retention and revenue growth.
  • Identify new donor contacts to support growth of our donor base.
  • Develop and lead a prospecting strategy to explore new institutional sources of fundraising and to grow existing EGPAF partnerships and through cultivation and engagement around EGPAF’s impact.
  • Support EGPAF Development team to identify and advance individual and institutional prospects for funding.
  • Oversee and enhance the donor pipeline, driving high-net-worth prospect acquisition while deepening connections with existing supporters.
  • Support EGPAF Board members with tools for solicitation of gifts.
  • Work closely with the EGPAF Strategic Engagement team (which includes communications) to share our impact with donors / fundraising partners.
  • Serve as EGPAF representative at events and conferences to forge new fundraising relationships.
  • Support EGPAF Development team to grow and replicate successful fundraising partnerships, including for external workplace giving, peer-to-peer fundraising, and cause marketing opportunities.
  • Support EGPAF’s major gifts team to retain and grow this important set of key donors, ensuring high-touch engagement, personalized stewardship, and long-term relationships.
  • Expand the Foundation’s ability to raise new and increased funding from online giving and design new ways for the Foundation to attract and retain new and old donors.
  • Work closely with the finance team to strengthen the revenue classification processes and to create more effective and efficient recording systems.
  • Oversee and support refinement of EGPAF’s use of systems to track and account for unrestricted fundraising, including use of Salesforce, procedures for gift entry and reconciliation, donor acknowledgement, and practices for donor engagement and retention.
  • Optimize technology, CRM, and systems for donor tracking and prospecting, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Develop talent to build a high-performing, results-driven team.

Requirements

  • Minimum 12 years of related experience in fundraising/ development; 6 years supervisory experience.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited four-year college, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Comprehensive experience across all facets of development and fundraising needed to lead a growing team.
  • Entrepreneurial, strategic, and creative approaches to fundraising and partnerships.
  • Ability to inspire a team and work across organizational departments towards a shared growth strategy.
  • Broad experience across multiple development strategies – in planning and managing annual appeals/fundraising and overseeing and growing funding partnerships and campaigns.
  • Ability to identify, cultivate, and build long-term relationships with individuals, donors, and organizations.
  • Understanding of the global health and international development space.
  • Experience leveraging communications to further fundraising and engagement efforts.
  • Strong skills in strategic engagement with donors and potential donors.
  • Highest levels of integrity and adherence to code of ethics, including fundraising.
