About the role

  • Lead a team of Community Commercial Real Estate Relationship Managers and work with Fulton Partners to develop and coordinate all sales for an assigned team/segment.
  • Accountable for balance sheet retention within the business unit as well as new Commercial loan, deposit and fee income generation.
  • Champion the Fulton Partner Referral Program by facilitating ongoing communication between Relationship Managers and Partners.
  • Oversee credit quality of the Commercial Loan portfolio within the business unit and maintain a role as a credit decision maker in the Bank’s formal credit approval processes (centralized, signature, and committee).
  • Promote and coach Commercial Relationship Managers to provide a superior customer experience while maintaining sound lending practices.
  • Manage and maximize a team’s sales performance utilizing the Fulton Sales process routines; actively coach both high and low performers and hold team members accountable to activity and pipeline expectations.
  • Provide visibility into team's pipeline and activities for Senior Leaders and proactively flag when additional team support is needed.
  • Support the team in structuring and standardizing credit offerings and advise on integrating Fulton credit risk guidance into offerings; assist with underwriting and escalate unresolved issues.
  • Ensure team is actively identifying and managing upcoming loan renewals/reviews per standard expectation.
  • Embrace and cultivate understanding of latest technology features to improve efficiency and hold team accountable to use technology during sales routines.
  • Lead team dynamics and expectations, foster a positive aspirational team culture, and engage with other LOB leaders to encourage selling the whole bank.
  • Enhance and support development of team knowledge, identify gaps, and help develop learning interventions.
  • Oversee management of overall portfolio risk and compliance management for the team; participate in Asset Quality monitoring, review and reporting processes.
  • Participate in structured leadership meetings to align sales, credit and risk compliance matters and make recommendations for procedural changes as needed.
  • Responsible for overall human resources management for the assigned team including retention, employee engagement, and positive morale.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent experience. Specialty: business, finance, accounting or related. (Required)
  • 12 or more years commercial banking experience. (Required)
  • 7 or more years Commercial Real Estate experience (Required)
  • 5 or more years managerial experience or other demonstrated leadership experience to include the ability to influence others to drive sales results. (Required)
