- leverage radiation modeling and simulation tools to evaluate and mitigate space radiation hazards
- perform TID, DD, and SEE analyses for electronic components and assemblies
- develop shielding analysis models to predict radiation mitigation outcomes
- generate reports and presentations summarizing simulation results and risk assessments
- support mission planning, including orbit-dependent radiation exposure, dosimetry, and protection optimization
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with space radiation effects analysis using tools such as TID, DD, SEE
- 2+ years of experience with space environments simulation software, such as STK Shield+
- knowledge of space radiation environments, including trapped protons or electrons, GCRs, and SPEs
- Top Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering, or Applied Physics
