About the role

  • leverage radiation modeling and simulation tools to evaluate and mitigate space radiation hazards
  • perform TID, DD, and SEE analyses for electronic components and assemblies
  • develop shielding analysis models to predict radiation mitigation outcomes
  • generate reports and presentations summarizing simulation results and risk assessments
  • support mission planning, including orbit-dependent radiation exposure, dosimetry, and protection optimization

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with space radiation effects analysis using tools such as TID, DD, SEE
  • 2+ years of experience with space environments simulation software, such as STK Shield+
  • knowledge of space radiation environments, including trapped protons or electrons, GCRs, and SPEs
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering, or Applied Physics
