About the role
- Participate in planning meetings with project stakeholders
- Review equipment submittals and develop project-specific commissioning plans.
- Create functional and pre-functional test forms, issue logs, and commissioning documentation.
- Conduct site visits to observe and document MEP system performance.
- Witness system start-ups, exercise systems through all modes, and resolve performance issues.
- Coordinate with contractors and owners to ensure operational excellence.
- Compile final reports, system manuals, and facility requirements documentation.
- Support training for building operators and maintenance staff.
- Assist with property condition assessments, energy benchmarking, and ventilation studies.
Requirements
- Understanding of HVAC, building electrical systems, or related disciplines.
- Ability to read and interpret MEP and architectural contract documents.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple projects at once.
- Flexibility to work independently or as part of a collaborative team.
- Willingness to travel (local and out-of-state) for multi-day assignments.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (EIT preferred) 3+ years of relevant engineering experience.
