About the role
- Support project engineering activities on commissioning projects
- Participate in schematic, design development, and construction document reviews
- Develop project-specific commissioning plans, specifications, and test forms
- Conduct site visits, observe systems, and document performance
- Witness and document startup of MEP and life safety systems
- Identify and help resolve field and performance issues
- Compile reports, meeting minutes, test results, and final system documentation
- Assist with contractor and client training on building systems
- Conduct facility condition and energy assessments
Requirements
- Experience in HVAC, electrical, or building systems
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and MEP/architectural documents
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Able to work independently and in teams; strong organizational skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred (PE a plus)
- 5+ years of building systems engineering, commissioning, or related experience
