About the role
- Own product vision for Business and Marketing courseware, select elective courseware, and a middle school career exploration supplement.
- Understand internal business drivers and priorities.
- Determine new products to develop, refresh, and enhance.
- Monitor market trends and competitors’ offerings.
- Evaluate product trends.
- Gather product insights from external and internal customers and translate insights into actionable product recommendations and roadmap decisions.
- Plan products and oversee development, including budgets.
- Recruit subject matter experts to write and/or contribute to the product.
- Collaborate with product team, project management, technical and platform teams.
- Serve as the product expert for Sales and Marketing teams.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in product management, product marketing, educational publishing, edtech, or a business-focused role involving product or program ownership
- Skilled at making business-driven product decisions, including investment choices, tradeoffs, and prioritization
- Experience working in a for-profit organization where product decisions are tied to revenue, state adoptions, or market demand
- Background in teaching and education is welcome if paired with demonstrated business-oriented publishing work
- Experience working cross-functionally
- Experience supporting Sales and Marketing teams
