About the role
- Plan, design, and execute comprehensive product and training programs to support the growth of the business unit market, ensuring good patient outcomes.
- Developing and delivering targeted training for Health Care Professionals such as implanters, imagers, and nurses, as well as field clinical specialists for device and imaging support.
- Direct training and development activities for field clinical specialists for device and imaging support and HCPs with overall responsibility for developing systems, planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to methods through several managers.
- Develop a robust talent development and upskilling planning approach in alignment with BU growth strategies across the European organization.
- Plan and direct strategic activities, including prioritizing and selecting appropriate projects, with overall responsibility for meeting business objectives.
- Lead in identifying risk, developing complex mitigation strategies, best practices, alternative solutions, and resolving issues in collaboration with cross-functional and/or matrix teams, including those involving Health Care Professional and field clinical specialist training.
- Mitigate/eliminate risk, and direct and communicate highly complex training strategies for field clinical specialists and Health Care Professionals, including incorporating ongoing learnings and newly developed procedural techniques for new therapies.
- Analyze, formulate, and present recommendations to management to advise and guide executive-level leadership; develop and deliver executive-level communication related to both field clinical support and HCP training initiatives.
- Partner with stakeholders (e.g., Procedural Development, Clinical Management, Marketing, Clinical Education) to gather and analyze trends in device and imaging support needed to develop training plans and tools that meet the changing needs of the business unit’s field clinical specialists and the broader clinical community, supporting the overall training strategy.
- Establish metrics, design dashboards, and use data to monitor and drive training effectiveness for field clinical specialists and Health Care Professionals, ensuring overall stakeholder satisfaction from both a content and educational perspective.
- Forecast and track annual training budget, make purchase decisions, and allocate resources for both field clinical specialist and HCP training programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in in related field with related experience required
- Master's Degree or equivalent in in related field with related experience preferred
- Proven successful project management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related tools and systems
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills including high discretion/judgment in decision making
- Excellent interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to routinely work on multiple tasks with cross-functional groups and tight time pressure from competing priorities.
- Excellent analytical skills and budget management experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
- Demonstrated track record in people management required
- Experience working in a regulated industry preferred
- Proven successful project management leadership skills
- Ability to develop and integrate metrics into the projects and operations that clearly demonstrate the value of sales training to the business
- Expert understanding of sales training procedures while looking beyond existing methodologies and own discipline to define and resolve complex problems
- Expert understanding of related aspects of sales training processes and/or systems
- Expert presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to create an engaging learning environment
- Demonstrated ability to conceive, develop and implement training strategies, convert these into tactical roll-out plans and deliver results.
- Strict attention to detail
- Ability to work and excel within a fast-paced, dynamic, and constantly changing work environment
- Ability to serve as core partner to senior leaders in Business Units, Functional Groups, and Regions
- Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization
