About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a member of the executive leadership team and align financial strategy with organizational goals, growth plans, and operational priorities.
  • Lead, develop, and support the finance team to ensure high-quality accounting, reporting, and service to internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee core finance and accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, and monthly close.
  • Lead annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes; provide clear financial insights, recommendations, and decision support to leadership.
  • Manage cash flow and working capital to maintain a healthy financial position and support growth initiatives.
  • Strengthen and scale financial systems, workflows, and internal controls to improve accuracy, efficiency, compliance, and visibility.
  • Own monthly and annual financial reporting, including financial statements, management reports, and key performance indicators.
  • Manage relationships with external financial partners, including tax and audit partners, banking partners, and key vendors.
  • Provide financial analysis and modeling for new products, programs, pricing strategies, and strategic initiatives.
  • Evaluate new business lines and revenue opportunities in partnership with the CEO and leadership team.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable tax, regulatory, and reporting requirements.
  • Help foster a culture of stewardship, accountability, continuous improvement, and service across the organization.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA
  • 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including significant senior-level or controller-level responsibility.
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Proven experience improving financial systems, processes, and internal controls in a growing or evolving organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a finance team while remaining hands-on with key financial and accounting activities.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial leaders.
  • Proficiency with accounting systems along with advanced Excel skills.
