About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Deliver live, on-camera synchronous instruction for five or more hours per day on every scheduled instructional day
Create an engaging and structured virtual classroom experience
Use student performance data to personalize instruction, identify learning gaps, and adapt teaching
Provide timely, meaningful feedback on student work
Maintain accurate student records to keep students and families informed and on track
Build relationships with students and families through proactive professional communication
Collaborate with school partners and Edmentum colleagues to provide consistent, high-quality student support

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
Active New Jersey state teaching license in Chemistry grades 6–12
Experience teaching in virtual and/or in-person settings
Comfort with the demands of a live online classroom
Ability to teach live on camera for five or more consecutive hours per day every instructional day
Hands-on experience with online learning platforms and virtual instruction tools
Proficiency with standard productivity software
Ability to read student performance data and use it to adjust instruction
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organization and self-direction
Time management skills to independently manage a full student caseload in a remote environment
Commitment to professional growth, maintaining certification, and staying current on K–12 curriculum, technology, and best practices
Willingness to take on evolving responsibilities based on business needs
