About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Deliver live, on-camera synchronous instruction for five (5) or more hours per day, every scheduled instructional day
use student performance data to personalize instruction, identify learning gaps, and adapt approach to meet each student
provide timely, meaningful feedback on student work and maintain accurate records
build genuine relationships with students and families through professional, proactive communication
collaborate with school partners and Edmentum colleagues to ensure students receive consistent, high-quality support across their learning experience

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field and an active state teaching license in Ohio in Global Languages: French grades 6-12
experience teaching in virtual and/or in-person settings and are comfortable with the unique demands of a live online classroom
confident and engaging on camera, able to teach live for five (5) or more consecutive hours per day, every instructional day
hands-on experience with online learning platforms, virtual instruction tools, and standard productivity software
data-informed: know how to read student performance data and use it to adjust live instruction in meaningful ways
excellent communicator, in writing and verbally, able to meet students, families, and colleagues where they are
highly organized and self-directed, with time management skills to independently manage a full student caseload in a remote environment
committed to professional growth, maintaining certification, and staying current on K-12 curriculum, technology, and best practices
integrity, warmth, and a deep belief that every student can succeed, values that align with Edmentum’s mission
willingness to take on evolving responsibilities based on business needs
