Country Director
Edify.orgCountry Director for Edify overseeing sustainable Christ-centered educational programs in Nigeria. Responsible for building partnerships and leading local staff while ensuring financial health and educational development.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan, organize, and lead the Nigeria staff team to facilitate all activities necessary to implement Edify's mission in the country.
- Establish, build, and nurture trusting relationships with local Edify lending and training partners.
- Develop effective working relationships with Micro-finance partners.
- Monitor financial health and growth of the School Loan Portfolio.
- Provide timely reports to Edify regional leaders and headquarters in the U.S.
- Build and develop the local Edify organization profile, providing effective leadership to accomplish Edify's mission and transformational objectives.
- Host and lead the in-country experience of Edify's visitors and supporters (individuals and groups).
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least ten years' experience in private enterprise businesses, educational organizations (at managerial level), international development or economic development work.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Management, Education, Finance, International Development, or related field.
- Personal confession of faith in Jesus Christ and commitment to Edify's mission and vision.
- Knowledge of Finance operations.
- Strong leadership, development, and coaching skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong multi-cultural work attitude.
- Organized and methodical working (effective time management, prioritization of competing demands and multiple deadlines).
- Fluent in English and any other common local language in Nigeria.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc).
