About the role
- Manage the colocation facilities primarily located in the Points of Presence (POPs) in Queretaro, Mexico.
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT equipment.
- Ensure continuous improvement in capacity, efficiency, sustainability, and reliability.
- Rack, stack, and cable IT equipment, including servers, network devices, and rack PDUs.
- Implement and maintain structured cable management best practices.
- Assist with the deployment of Rack/MOR cabling.
- Maintain and update the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Support Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) activities.
- Conduct physical audits of data center assets.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs on servers and IT equipment following documented procedures.
Requirements
- C1 English level
- Proven hands-on experience in data center operations.
- Problem-solving and incident management experience.
- Knowledge of security and data protection best practices.
- Understanding of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, and facility management, to ensure operational efficiency and reliability.
- Availability for on-call shifts (24/7) and travel when necessary.
