About the role
- Design and simulate algorithms for modulation, demodulation, error correction, equalization, synchronization and frequency offset correction in single carrier and multiple carrier wireless communication systems
- Design and simulate full modem for wireless communication systems, ensuring optimal performance in terms of bandwidth efficiency, signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), and error resilience
- Investigate on advanced signal processing techniques to improve waveform efficiency, error correction, and robustness in wireless communication
- Implement digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms
- Simulate and validate waveform algorithms using software tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, or C++
- Conduct performance testing in various communication channel models (e.g., fading, noise, interference) to ensure robust and reliable modem operation
- Work with cross-functional teams to integrate algorithms into the overall modem architecture
- Document algorithm design, performance analysis, and testing procedures
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate progress, findings, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with WF architect, hardware engineers, and other software developers to ensure seamless integration of algorithms into modem systems
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and troubleshooting sessions
Requirements
- 15+ years of working experience on design and #modeling of algorithms for wireless communication systems (5G, #Wifi, #WiMax, Tactical radio, etc)
- Hands-on experience in designing and optimizing waveform algorithms for wireless communication systems
- Strong theoretical background on wireless digital communication systems.
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A Ph.D. is a plus.
