Senior Suppliers Development Engineer

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Contribute to and validate the global supplier selection strategy with sourcing teams
- Prepare, plan, and conduct assessment audits (ISO 9001, ISO 19443, customer requirements, internal standards) at supplier sites
- Evaluate and challenge suppliers’ organizational structure and processes to meet nuclear technical and administrative requirements; assess safety culture (organization, supply chain monitoring, competency management, process robustness, documentation control)
- Identify and mitigate gaps, weak signals, and risks affecting quality or safety
- Deliver structured and actionable reports
- Coordinate with internal technical experts for supplier-related actions
- Develop pragmatic and measurable supplier development plans (actions, deadlines, KPIs)
- Drive supplier maturity improvement through Lean coaching, follow-up, and effectiveness assessment
- Promote best practices while respecting confidentiality rules
- Develop and improve supplier qualification, maturity standards, and development programs , leveraging synergies within the EDF Group
Requirements
What you’ll need- Engineering degree or equivalent
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); French is a plus
- Technical Skills Training or certification in nuclear safety / ISO 19443 is a plus
- Minimum 10 years of experience in quality, audits, or supplier development, ideally in regulated industries (nuclear, energy, rail, aerospace)
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Strong command of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 required)
- Good understanding of nuclear safety culture
- Expertise in operational excellence in manufacturing
- Experience in QMS, organizational and process audits
- Strong knowledge of industrial production processes
