About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • The Procurement Buyer is responsible for purchasing equipment and/or services while ensuring compliance with safety, quality and delivery requirements and achieving the best cost to guarantee execution of client contracts.
  • Analyze purchase requests received: review the specifications (plans and/or specifications, quality plans, etc.) and all information in the purchase request (budget, required date, etc.).
  • Prepare quotation requests: analyze purchase history.
  • Select appropriate suppliers from the supplier panel with the support of buyers.
  • Solicit potential suppliers in accordance with competitive sourcing rules and ensure offers are received within the timelines required by the project.
  • Select the most competitive offer in terms of safety, quality, delivery and cost.
  • Verify that the selected offer fully meets the purchase request's requirements.
  • Negotiate prices, lead times and deviations with suppliers.
  • Obtain approval for supplier selection in the appropriate tool.
  • Prepare purchase order placement: check the commercial compliance of the identified supplier(s).
  • Process purchase orders and amendments: draft orders and amendments to the selected supplier.
  • Monitor orders: check order progress with the supplier via email, phone and site visits.
  • Manage disputes and identify risk situations.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Technical Sales diploma (DUT or BTS) or equivalent
  • 2 to 6 years' experience in purchasing or procurement of industrial goods or services
  • Solid understanding of supply chain principles
  • Basic knowledge of products and suppliers
  • Ability to read drawings and/or technical bills of materials (BOMs)
  • Basic knowledge of international trade / customs
  • Basic knowledge of production planning
  • Ability to work in an organized and autonomous manner
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office suite
  • Proficiency in French and English
  • Negotiation skills
  • Ability to propose improvement initiatives
  • Rigor and attention to detail
  • Integrity
  • Compliance with company EHS instructions and workstation procedures
  • Strong awareness of nuclear safety issues
