About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop engineering studies, plans, specifications, calculations, evaluations, design documents, and performance assessments associated with SCADA systems
Monitor, support, and maintain day-to-day operations of the SCADA systems
Proactively identify SCADA system issues and troubleshoot them
Document and report SCADA system issues
Perform routine maintenance of SCADA systems
Find areas of improvement in SCADA systems/business processes
Interface with various parties such as the OCC, Asset Management, O&M
Provide on call support

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Minimum of two years of related experience in engineering related field
Basic knowledge of electric grid energy management systems
Knowledge and application of principles in area of SCADA engineering
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations
Proficient with the use of personal computers and automated tools
Preferences: Engineering experience specific to industrial power systems; experience with DAQ, RTU, IED, PLC technologies; experience with DNP 3; working knowledge of energy management systems, data historian systems, Modbus, Ethernet, fiber transport, and microwave/wireless system technologies.
